What types of Workshops do you offer?
I offer over 30 different Workshops in a wide variety of Crafts, including Sewing, JunkArt Journaling, Knitting, Basket Making, Macrame, Crochet and RE-Cycled Fashion. Each session is designed to cater to different skill levels and interests. Check out the Workshops Tab on the Website for more information, there are new classes arriving all the time.
Do I need to bring my own materials?
Please read ALL the details provided for your Workshop. Most will require you to bring your own materials and equipment; there will be a 'What to Bring' List. Some will have Creative Kits available to purchase at a discount when you Bundle & Save, while others will have supplies included.
How long are the workshops?
Most of my workshops are 3.5 hours long, allowing ample time for instruction and completion of the project. If the project needs longer, I will split the workshop into multiple sessions. Occasionally, there will be shorter workshops, which are ideal for kids.
Can children participate in the workshops?
Yes, children are able to attend the workshops, although some may find 3.5 hours too long. We used to offer workshops for kids, but they were pretty quiet—sometimes too quiet. (No one showed up!) If interest grows in the future, I’d be happy to revisit the idea!
Do you have a Blue Card?
Yes, I have held a Blue Card since 2008 and worked exclusively with children for the first 11 years in business.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, please. You can book online at the Workshops tab. It helps me be better prepared if I know how many students are coming and who needs Kits, and of course, to make sure I have enough cookies.
What if I can’t attend on the day I’ve booked in?
I understand that plans change. Please let me know as soon as possible if you can’t make it to the workshop, and I will do my best to accommodate rescheduling.
What are in the Kit Supplies?
Inside the Creative Kits, you'll find everything you need to create the item(s) for the workshop. Each kit is slightly different, and your items may be Upcycled, Recycled, Seconds or Ends. I believe making Textile Art should not cost the Earth or cost us the Earth. So I keep all the bits and reuse everything! The Kits are designed for use in the workshops only.
They DO NOT come with any instructions or patterns; those will be handed out in the class. You can also Bundle & Save 50% off your kit when purchased with the Workshop
So, if you're on the hunt for a program that combines creativity, education, and giggles galore, these craft classes are your golden ticket. Don't hesitate to reach out for more info or to snag a spot in this epic artistic adventure!
