Welcome, my fellow fabric aficionados and curious creators, to the enigmatic world of Komebukuro. Today, we dive into the ancient art of crafting Japanese Rice Bags—a tradition so secretive, you might just feel like you're part of a covert sewing cartel. These bags were once the sophisticated vessels for rice offerings at temples or the perfect disguise for a gift to a dear friend.
Under the watchful eye of the illustrious Amanda, you'll master the creation of these delightful bags using just 2 Fat Quarters, a touch of rope, and some interfacing. Fancy some Boro or Sashiko stitching? Go ahead, indulge your inner artist and add a dash of intrigue. Prepare to unravel the mysteries of fabric and stitch together your very own piece of Japanese artistry.
Let's get started, shall we?
