This workshop is for confident beginners through to experienced stitchers who want to sharpen their skills, learn clever techniques, and create a zippered bag that looks like it walked straight out of a boutique handmade market. 🧵✨

Amanda will guide you through the process step-by-step, sharing all the juicy sewing tips, shortcuts, and “why didn’t anyone tell me this sooner?!” tricks along the way. You’ll learn how to piece patchwork with confidence, quilt for texture and structure, and tackle zips without the usual drama llama moments.

Bring those fabric scraps to life as you mix colours, patterns, and textures into a one-of-a-kind creation that’s uniquely YOU. No cookie-cutter sewing here. Every bag that leaves the room will have its own personality.

Expect a workshop packed with creativity, laughter, fabric shuffling, skill-building, and plenty of “ooooh, look what I made!” moments.

Skill Level: 7 - Intermediate Plus

What to Bring: Sewing Machine & Attachments (including Walking foot, 1/4" foot & Zipper foot), Sewing Kit (rotary cutter, small quilting ruler, pins etc.), Mini Charm Pack or Fabric Scraps cut into 2.5" squares, Wadding (14" square x 2), Scrap of Denim or Canvas (14" square), 30cm Chunky Zip or longer, Fat Quarter for Lining, Matching Thread, Quilting Thread, Morning Tea, Water/Drink
